Pamela A. (Cole) Hendon's Obituary
Pamela Ann (Cole) Hendon passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 21, 1950, to Maynard and Shirley (Martin) Cole at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, and was a 1968 graduate of Alma High School. Pam was a longtime member of Grace Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time catering and decorating for events. Her talents made her a party planner extraordinaire. Pam also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and traveling. She was a cautious woman by nature, yet was infamous for taking cruises during hurricane season. Above all, she truly loved her family and being a grandmother. Pam could never get enough of her granddaughters, Rachel and Jillian. Her big heart and uncondtional love will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by daughters, Jennifer (Randy) Mumby and Wendy (Shawn) Pearson; father, Maynard Cole; grandchildren, Rachel (Greg Antioho) Mumby, Jillian (Scott Johnson) Mumby, Autumn and Kyaha Pearson; sister, Robinn (Mike) Boyer; brother, Scott (Diana) Cole; nieces, Erica, Amanda and Kelly; nephews, Blaine and David; eight grandcats; two granddogs; and one grandlizard. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Cole. A visitation with the famiy will be held from 4-7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at The Lee Chapel with a visitation one-hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Mount Rest Cemetery in St. Johns, Michigan. Memorial contributions in Pam’s honor can be made directly to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and Planned Parenthood, both of which were close to her heart.
