Ms. Pamela Marie Horness' Obituary
Ms. Pamela Marie Horness, age 58, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital. She was born March 2, 1954 in Muskegon to Charlie and Georgene (Finch) Barnes and lived in the area most of her life before moving to Lowell. Pamela worked 30 years as an operator for field units at GTE/Verizon and retired in 2001. She attended Central Assembly of God in Muskegon and Ellbridge Community Church in Hart. Pamela’s family was her top priority and she enjoyed her time spent with her 5 grandchildren. She enjoyed flower gardening, walking, time at the beach and listening to music. SURVIVORS include her 2 sons, Brian (Corinne) Horness of Belmont and their children, Vance, Grant and Lena; Chad (Kelly) Horness of Muskegon, and their children, Ellery and Ashlyn; her loving companion, Jeff Buter of Hart; her mother, Georgene Barnes of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Charlie (Gisela) Barnes of Muskegon and David Barnes of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews; and her former spouse, Ronald Horness. Pamela was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Georgia Newkirk. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2012 with visitation one hour prior (3-4 PM Tuesday) at Central Assembly of God Youth Center, 2620 McLaughlin Ave., with Rev. Dennis Hintz officiating. VISITATION will also be held 6-8 PM Monday evening at Central Assembly of God Youth Center. Arrangements handled by The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
