Pamela Anne "Pam" Irwin's Obituary
Pamela Anne (Pam) Irwin, née Filka, age 71, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at The Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon, MI. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, she moved through life with a thoughtful and caring spirit that touched all who knew her.
Pam pursued higher education at Carthage College, which laid the foundation for her successful career as a medical technologist and later as a manager at Irwin’s Home Furnishings. Her professional life was marked by a dedication to excellence and a nurturing approach to leadership.
A devout member of Olivet Evangelical Free Church, Pam was deeply involved in her religious community. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, reflected in her hobbies which included playing the piano, singing, walking, weaving, studying the Bible, traveling and writing. These activities were not just pastimes but extensions of her faith and creativity, offering her peace and joy.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Bob; children, Kristen (Seth), Kellynne (Jorden), and Keith (Chelsea); grandchildren, Nora, Luke, Elijah, Evelyn, Jocelyn, and Jackson; siblings, Paula Bosman-Belanger (Al) and Bob Filka (Karen). She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ada Filka; sister, Patti McRoberts; and aunt, Anne Filka.
A visitation will be held at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 6-8:00 PM. Services to honor Pam's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at The Lee Chapel with a visitation from 10-11:00 AM.
