Pamela Rae Marie Krause's Obituary
Pamela Rae Marie Krause, age 65, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born June 19, 1957 in Muskegon to Douglas and Mary Louise (Young) Ruud and was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. Pam graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1975 and on October 13, 1978, she married Douglas J. Krause, her beloved husband. Pam worked as the office manager for Cox Accounting and Tax Service for 30 years and later worked at Precision Tax before retiring in 2017. In retirement, she and Doug owned and operated Blue Horizon Farms, LLC. Pam was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Pam was a loving wife and mother. Though her earthly heart was frail, her spiritual heart was abundant in strength, compassion, empathy, and sacrifice. In meekness, she advocated for and cared for an innumerable amount of people and families, especially those with special needs. She also volunteered many years for The Arc Muskegon. Alongside her husband, Doug, she raised three wonderful children who will forever appreciate the lessons of sacrifice and blessing that were demonstrated through the everyday actions of her life. She very much enjoyed gardening, canning, camping, and being surrounded by all of God’s beautiful creation. She will be greatly missed.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Douglas James Krause; 3 children, Mardi Lynn Krause, Zachary James Krause, Jillian Autumn (Jon) Johnson; her foster son, Todd Xavier Crebassa; 2 grandchildren, Drew and Alex Johnson; 2 brothers, Richard John (Teresa) Ruud and Randall James (Darlene “Dee”) Ruud. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Darrell Alan Ruud; and her step-father, Earl L. Pennington.
