Pamela Sue Nelson's Obituary
Pamela Sue (Mitchell) Nelson, age 76, ran into the arms of her Savior on Friday, July 18, 2025. She was born April 22, 1949, in Muskegon to Dwight and Ava Marie (Starr) Mitchell. Pam graduated from Muskegon High School in 1967 and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Baker College. She married Rodney Paul Nelson on July 29, 1972, in Muskegon and was blessed with two wonderful daughters. A devoted member of Connection Point Church, Pam was deeply involved in its community. She found joy in her family, friends, sewing, knitting, reading, and baking—and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Everyone who met Pam instantly felt her friendship. Her love extended to all who knew her, as she sought to love as Christ does. Pam was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice Tapanila; brothers-in-law, Al Tapanila and George Abbott; and sister-in-law, Sheryl Nelson.
