Pamela Kay Pel's Obituary
Pamela Kay Pel, age 72, of Spring Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her home. She was born February 6, 1953, in Portland, Oregon to Wade and Beverly (Kane) Anderson.
Pamela graduated from Parkrose High School, in Portland. She held the toughest job of all, as a homemaker, raising her family. Pam loved cooking, decorating for the holidays, and enjoyed making people laugh. She always put everyone ahead of herself, even during her times with health struggles; never expecting anything in return. Pam’s most important times were spent with her family.
Pam is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Jennifer (Nate) Ruiter and Tanya (Howard) Kelly; two grandchildren, Jared Handwerg and Aidan Handwerg; two sisters, Susan (Mark) Benedetti and Debra Ross; and her brother, David (AniLee) Anderson. In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by one sister, Gene Anderson; and her brother Thomas “Tom” Anderson.
A private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Memorials to Every Woman’s Place https://everywomansplace.org/contact-us/ are appreciated. In honor of Pam, please show an act of kindness to a stranger!
