Pamela G. (Wilkins) Syriac's Obituary
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share that Pamela Gene (Wilkins) Syriac danced peacefully through the gates of Heaven on Friday, May 2nd, 2025. After a long and courageous battle with Dementia, Pam passed away at home, embraced by her devoted husband and surrounded by love. She was born July 14th, 1948, in Muskegon to Eugene and Willene (Carter) Wilkins and married the love of her life, Marcus, on October 11, 1991. Pam was a member of Family Bible Church and worked several years with the lunch program at Calvary Christian Schools prior to retirement.
Simply put, Pam was a woman who radiated beauty and light. Her beaming smile, joyful spirit, and fun-loving nature lit up every room she entered. She was a constant source of love, laughter, and encouragement. Prior to Dementia, she was always among the first to reach out to others in their time of need with her warm heart and generous soul.
Heaven became even sweeter the moment Pam arrived.
Pam has been lovingly cared for by Faith Hospice since November 2024, and our family is forever grateful for their compassion and support. In honor of Pam’s legacy of kindness and grace, donations can be made in her name to Faith Hospice.
Pam is survived by her husband, Marcus; daughter, Serena (Taylor) Heeres; brother, Steve (Roxanne) Wilkins; nieces and nephews: Andrew Wilkins, Stephanie (Paul) Sischo, Jonathan (Kiel) Patmos, Rachel Patmos, Nathan (Jennifer) Patmos, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, Dennis and Dan Wilkins.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Family Bible Church, 1256 W. Broadway Ave., Muskegon, MI 49441, and we ask that all who attend wear pink, her favorite color, as a tribute to the joy and light she brought into the world. Visitation with her family will begin at 10 AM and continue until the service starts at 11 AM.
Pam’s love will continue to shine through all who had the joy of knowing her. So next time you enjoy an ice cream, raise a smile—and a scoop—for Pam.
