Pasquale "Pat" Thomas Garzelloni's Obituary
Pasquale “Pat” Thomas Garzelloni, age 78, of Nunica passed away Sunday, November 27, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 5, 1927 to Thomas and Lena (Dolci) Garzelloni in Muskegon. Pat married Betty Yemc on May 22, 1948 in Grand Haven.
Pat had been an area resident the past 61 years, graduate of Coopersville High School and was previously an owner with his brothers of Terra Verde Golf Course in Nunica. He retired from Leigh Products as a production supervisor. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville, Coopersville Knights of Columbus, the VFW in Coopersville and the Slovenian Farmers Club. Pat enjoyed fishing, golf, reading and served his country during WWII in the Navy. Survivors include his wife Betty; 4 daughters; Gayle Ann (Thomas) Pearo of Muskegon, Mary Lynn (Michael) Morden of Nunica, Teresa Marie (Steve) Huston of Muskegon, Elizabeth Jane (Kelly) Boeve of Spring Lake, 3 sons; Patrick Garzelloni of Grand Haven, Christopher Garzelloni of Spring Lake and Michael (Debra) Garzelloni of Muskegon, 16 grand children and 2 great grandchildren. Also his 102 year old mother-in-law Mary Betty Yemc and 5 brothers; Frank (Mona) of Muskegon, Thomas (Mary) of Grand Haven, Joseph (Carole) of Nunica, William ((Shirley) of Kalamazoo, Jim (Mary Beth) of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. His brothers Charles and Edward preceded him in death. A funeral liturgy for Pat will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Coopersville with Rev. Anthony M. Pelak as celebrant. Friends may meet the family Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake where a Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery with military honors provided by the Coopersville VFW Honor Guard.
