Pastor Harry W. Logan's Obituary
Pastor Harry William Logan, age 89, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, April 12, 2006. He was born May 30, 1916 to Harry Hubbard and Helen Elizabeth (Gossom) Logan in Wilmington, Delaware. On March 9, 1946 Harry married the former Esther Ruth Baldwin in Wilmington and she survives him. Pastor Logan was a 1951 graduate of the Moody Bible Institute, held a Master’s Degree in Bible Theology and also an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during WWII. Harry served as pastor of Grace Memorial Baptist Church for over 30 years and also pastored churches in Marion, OH and Troy, IL. In addition to Esther, his wife of over 60 years, Pastor Logan is SURVIVED by 3 children; Ruth Naomi (Randall) Umfleet of Lansing, MI, Cheryl Anne (fiance’ Rick Hancock) Logan of Muskegon, Bill (Joyce) Logan of Fostoria, OH; 4 grandchildren, Dorothea Brooke Goss, Lance Logan, Arianne Umfleet and Landon Umfleet; a great-granddaughter; Starla Michelle Largent; and a son-in-law, Frank (Sherrie) Goss. Harry was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothea May and a son, David Dwight Logan. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church (937 Holbrook Ave.) with Pastors John Frank, Charles Jones, and William Randall officiating. Full Military Rites will be afforded by VFW Muskegon County Council. VISITATION will be 6-8PM Friday at
