Pastor William S. "Bill" Paul's Obituary
Pastor William S. “Bill” Paul, age 84, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, May 7, 2011. He was born March 14, 1927 in Glasgow, Scotland to William and Jane (McKinley) Paul and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1992. Mr. Paul was Veteran of the Royal Marines in Britain during WWII, and worked as a Missionary/Pastor in India with his first wife, Katherine, for 23 years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. On June 26, 1954 he married Katherine Cooper in India and she preceded him in death on November 26, 2004. He then married Ruth Kantola in Muskegon on February 14, 2009 and she survives him along with 3 foster children, Kanti, Renuka, and Pushpa in India; 4 step-children, Sharon (Erich) Schenk, Arland (Sue)Kantola, Joel (Joann) Kantola, Troy (Sharon) Kantola; 11 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Archie (Ann) Learmouth of Glasgow, Scotland. He was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church (3593 Whitehall Rd.) with Rev. James Swierenga officiating. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at
