Patricia Lou DeRuiter's Obituary
Patricia Lou DeRuiter, age 89, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Newaygo County Compassion Home. She was born on December 16, 1934, to Ransom and Elsie (Bolinger) Campbell. Pat was a member of Cloverville Bible Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to country music, and watching church services and the Hallmark Channel on TV. On June 9, 1956, she married Henry DeRuiter, who preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by two children, Jim (Cindy) DeRuiter and Candi Henderson; 4 grandchildren; Eric, Aubrey, Marsha, and Natasha; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Bussing; and several nieces and nephews. Pat was also preceded in death by her son, Jody DeRuiter; her brother, David Campbell; and her sister, Jeanine Johnson. In accordance with Patricia's wishes, there will be no services, and cremation has taken place. MEMORIALS can be directed to Newaygo County Compassion Home in Pat’s name for the wonderful care she received. Burial will occur at Fruitport Cemetery.
