Patricia Ruth Flickema's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Ruth Flickema, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her home in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 17, 1932 to Claude and Lucille M. (Shinsky) Bergevin and was a life resident of the area. Patricia was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was active in volunteering with Project Literacy and at the Frauenthal. On July 12, 1952, Patricia married Harry J. “Ike” Flickema and he preceded her in death on January 29, 1997. She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Panyard (Richard Schumaker) and Karen (Terry) Krueger; three grandchildren, Carly (Jeremy) Kammers, Brandon (Quyen Le) Edwards and Nicholas Panyard; and two great-grandchildren, Alayna and Tyler Kammers. In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by one grandson, Brett Edwards. Her MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel, with Rev. Fr. Norman P. Droski presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. For a more lasting MEMORIAL, please consider Harbor Hospice or Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
