Patricia Jean Fohlbrook's Obituary
On May 28th, 2021 we lost our beautiful Mother, Grandmother, and friend to many. Patricia “Pat” Fohlbrook, age 84, of Muskegon was born December 7, 1936 in Stanley, Wisconsin to Ross and Marion (Pankratz) Curtis. She was an adventurous soul, at 18 she moved to Minneapolis and then on to California, where she met her first husband, Richard Peter Manley, with whom she settled down with in Muskegon in 1963. She later married Harvey Fohlbrook Jr., and they were together until he passed away in 2013. Pat worked as an operator and then an administrative assistant for General Telephone and Electronics Corporation until she retired. Pat enjoyed making fabulous meals for her family and friends, was an avid reader, loved gardening, playing cards and Scrabble, watching horror movies, listening to Ramsey Lewis, but most of all spending time with her family. Pat is lovingly remembered by her three children: Kerri (Jim) Bennett, Kurt (Maritza) Manley, and Kasey Manley (and partner Tom Fricano); two stepdaughters: Nanette Corn and Lori Bailey; five grandchildren: David (Esther) Manley, Nathaniel Harrison (and partner Emily Hubbard), Christa (Phil) Payne, Christiane (Cyle) Huff, and Mandy (Matt) Avery; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Maribeth Mattes. She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Harvey Fohlbrook Jr.; and sister, Peggy Bauer. A memorial service will be held at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 on Friday, July 23rd with the visitation at 2:00 PM and service to follow at 3:00 PM. After the service all are welcome to join the family at Joe Chan's Bistro (2675 Henry St. Muskegon, MI 49441) for a time of celebration.
