Pat was born on August 2, 1954, to Warren and Ellen (Lyon) Barnhard in Muskegon, MI. She graduated in 1972 from Reeths-Puffer High school. She married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Morse, for 30 years, and they had two beautiful daughters together. During the 80’s Pat worked as an Advertising/Sales Promotion Director for Quality Farm and Fleet. She also worked for Orchard View and Reeths-Puffer Public schools in the front office. Pat went on to Baker College to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and graduated in 2000. She worked in skilled nursing facilities as an Activity Director and then Admissions/Marketing Director. She partially retired in 2010 to manage her daughter Heidi’s consulting career. Pat married Charles Robert Larson in 2005, and they enjoyed their time together until he passed away from cancer in October 2012. In November 2016 she married a classmate from high school, James Goudzwaard, and they enjoyed continued adventures, traveling, hiking and camping at Poncho’s Pond. Pat loved travel and took four of her grandchildren individually on intergenerational trips that included everything from white water rafting to Route 66 to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. She also loved gardening, hiking, kayaking, reading, volunteering and spending time with her fluffy best friend, Jasper. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ellen Barnhard, and her husband, Charles Larson. She is survived by her husband, James Goudzwaard; two daughters, Heidi (Mark) Naperala and Angela (Chris) Babcock; and five grandchildren: Logan (Maggie) Naperala, Lucas (Reegan) Babcock, Lexi Naperala, Reese and Addison Babcock; three sisters: Dorothy (Dave) Herman, Bonnie Bliss, Cindy (George) Slater; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and a close family friend, Aimee Lockhart.
