Patricia A. Pyman's Obituary
Patricia Ann (Scheel) Pyman was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She left this world peacefully on August 7th, 2023, in Grand Haven, Michigan at the age of 89.
Pat was born in Muskegon, Michigan and graduated high school from Muskegon Heights. She continued her education at Muskegon Community College and Western Michigan University. After graduation from WMU, Pat went on to dedicate her life to the education of the next generation, something that will leave an impact for many years to come. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Adam (Ruth) Pyman and David (Melody) Pyman; along with her four grandchildren: Andrew Pyman, Bridget Pyman, Samantha (Zach) McAfee, and Alyssa Pyman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Hank" and Beatrice (Gilmore) Boutell; and all four of her siblings: Donna Sullivan, Nancy Hodges, June Bomers, and Bob Boutell.
Pat's ability to appreciate the small pleasures in life led her to embrace and explore many hobbies. She loved spending time tending her gardens, painting murals, and drinking her daily cups of coffee on the front porch. Above all, Pat was a compassionate and dedicated grandmother (Nana) who went above and beyond for her family. She found great joy in activities like baking cookies after school with her grandkids and taking them for drives along the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan.
A Private Graveside Service is being held for Patricia. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to Lakeshore Assisted Living or AgeWell Services. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Trudy and all the staff at Lakeshore Assisted Living for the compassionate care they gave their beloved mother and grandmother over the last five years. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
