Patricia E. Rathbun's Obituary
Patricia E. Rathbun, age 70, died in Muskegon, Friday afternoon, December 27, 2013, at Hackley Hospital. She was born September 30, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Joseph and Louise (Reimer) Kennedy; and moved to the Muskegon area in 1968. Pat had been a teacher for both the Clyde Park and Reeths-Puffer School systems, prior to her retirement. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church. Pat was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. On June 15, 1968 she married Phillip C. Rathbun and he survives her along with one son, Jim (Lorrie) Rathbun of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Rachel and Mike; and by her sister, Jean Garnichaud of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, David. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Community United Methodist Church (1614 Ruddiman Dr., North Muskegon, MI 49445)with the Rev. Sandra L. Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION with Pat’s family will be one-hour prior to the service at church. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Community UMC or a charity of your choice.
