Patricia "Pat" (Napierkoski) Rom's Obituary
Patricia “Pat” (Napierkoski) Rom of Spring Lake, MI, age 86, passed away peacefully in Holland, MI April 6, 2026, surrounded by her sons.
She was born on January 1, 1940, in Ashuelot, New Hampshire. After graduating from high school, Pat moved to Washington, D.C., and later to the Metro Detroit area, before settling in West Michigan in her late retirement.
Pat was the beloved mother of Dennis (Cathy) Ellis, and Dan (Vicki) Ellis; and the cherished brother of Paul (Rose) Napierkoski. She was a proud grandmother to Nickolas (Marilyn), Paul, Grant, and Jack; great-grandmother to Gabriella, Roland, Ethan, Artemis, and Emmett; and great-great-grandmother to Adalynn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Ellis on February 3, 1971, and her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Rom on January 17, 2024.
Pat will always be remembered for her kind heart, her deep love for her family, and her unmistakable New England accent. In retirement, she and Ken enjoyed traveling, spending summers in New England and winters in Cape Coral, Florida.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at American Dunes – Founders Hall, 17000 Lincoln St, Grand Haven, on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 1 – 4 p.m. To honor Pat’s memory, please consider a donation to your local humane society.
