Patricia Ann Romkema's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Romkema, age 86, passed away early Saturday morning, July 14, 2012 in N. Muskegon. She was born September 24, 1925 to Gregory J. and Annette B. (Lee) Finnigan in Detroit. Pat was an elementary school teacher for the Forest Hills Public School system for 25 years, had been a bookkeeper at Grandville Motor Sales, and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Pat was married to Richard N. Romkema, and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1968. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Jon Patrick (Kathy) Romkema of North Muskegon, Karl Michael “Mike” (Karen) Romkema of Clarkston; 15 grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Jason Slagter, Scott Slagter, Joe Slagter, Patrick Romkema, Megan Romkema, Ashlynd Romkema, Karl Romkema, Jr.,Ryan Romkema, Adam Romkema, Kurt Romkema, Kari Romkema, Shannon Romkema, Jack Romkema, Lindsay Romkema; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Joseph T. (Mary Ellen) Finnigan; 2 sisters, Barbara A.  Finnigan, Mary Lee (Jack) Cartwright. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Kathleen Slagter on April 29, 1996. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak presiding. Interment will take place at 11:00 AM Friday at the Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, MI. VISITATION at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
