Patricia M. Tomorsky's Obituary
Patricia M. “Pat” Tomorsky, age 80, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, following a very brief illness. Pat was born November 15, 1942 in Muskegon to Clyde J. and Joan M. (Hanson) O’Dell and was a lifelong resident of the area. Pat married Edward F. Tomorsky on May 21, 1966 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2006. Prior to her retirement, Pat worked for 32 years as a Medical Staff Coordinator at Mercy-General Health Partners and after retirement she continued as an independent contractor. She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister at the parish and to those homebound. She loved to quilt and crochet but especially enjoyed the time she could spend with her grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews. Survivors include 3 children, Edward Tomorsky, Michael (Luda Podovich) Tomorsky, Dionne Tomorsky; and 7 grandchildren, Madeline (Sebastian Frasier) Dibble, Vladimir Tomorsky, Lillian Tomorsky, James Ernvall, Amanda (fiancé, Shane Macri) Podovich, Aaron Podovich, and Max Tomorsky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Tomorsky; her parents; her step-father, Vincent P. Dion; and her sister, Peggy Brown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, June 29, 2023 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441 where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM Wednesday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday at church. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum.
