Patricia A. Wade's Obituary
Patricia Ann Wade, age 85, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, January 20, 2025. Patricia was born in Ludington, MI, on May 2, 1939, to Johnnie and Marie (Sauers) Polk. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Roger Wade, and the two of them spent 46 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2018. Patricia worked as a dispatcher for ANR Freight for 13 years before retiring in 1986. Patricia was very sociable and was a part of many clubs and organizations, including the Eagles, Lakeside Vets, Muskegon Recreational Club, and the Teamsters. She was very crafty and especially enjoyed knitting and diamond dot art, and she was also an avid bowler and golfer. She loved travelling and was able to visit almost all the of the fifty states, and she particularly enjoyed spending winters in Arizona.
Patrcia will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Sandy (Jeff) Cory, Terri Messner, and Dan (Nancy) McCormack; two stepsons: Bradley Wade and Scott Wade; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; three siblings: John Polk, James Polk, and Viola (Jim) Fielstra; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren by choice. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Marie Polk; husband, Roger Wade; sister: Christine Anderson; brother, Arnold Polk; and sister in-law, Charlene Polk.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Patricia at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI, 49441, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
