Mrs. Patricia I. Hern, age 73, passed away Monday, February 02, 2009 in Muskegon. Mrs. Hern was born July 29, 1935 to Everett and Eva (Stitt) Brandon in Muskegon. On January 22, 1955 she married Keith D. Hern and he survives her along with her children, Daryl (Janet) Hern of Deland, FL and Sherylin (Gary) Husted of Whitehall; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Margie) Smith of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Evelyn Wheeler of Cadillac, Brenda (Carl) Gavach of St. Louis, MO, and Claudia (Jack) Sturtevant of Twin Lake; brothers-in-law, Ralph (Victoria) Hern of Grand Rapids and Max (Shirley) Hern of Eustis, FL; sister-in-law, Nancy Hern of Grand Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Keith “Skeeter” Hern; and the stepfather whom she considered her ‘dad’ because he raised her, Robert Smith. A CELEBRATION of Pat’s life will be held in the spring.
