Patricia L. Carlson's Obituary
Mrs. Patricia L. Carlson, age 62, died unexpectedly Monday, March 21, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born on July 13, 1942 in Muskegon to Herman & Cecilia (Beyrle) Secord, and had resided in the area all of her life. Pat was retired from Roosevelt Park Nursing Centre. She was a communicant member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and formerly of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. On May 21, 1966 she married Robert Carlson and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1974. Pat was also preceded in death by her father, Herman Secord, and brother, Philip Secord. SURVIVORS include 5 children, Suzanne (Chip) Heikkila and Christopher Carlson of Muskegon, Michael Carlson of Coopersville, Andrew (Erin) Carlson of Saginaw and Mary Theresa Carlson of Hamilton. She loved being a grandmother to her 2 grandchildren, Mekenna & Ernie. Survivors also include her mother, Cecilia Secord; 4 brothers, Joseph Secord, George (Helene) Secord, James (Sue) Secord, Charles (Therese) Secord all of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Betty (Donald) Duram of Muskegon, Theresa Secord of Coxscreek, KY; sister-in-law, Mary Carlson and special friend, Bea Bahr. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 11 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 and 1 hour prior to the Liturgy at the Church. A PRAYER SERVICE will be held 7PM Monday. MEMORIAL GIFTS to the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will be appreciated.
