Patricia M. Jacobs' Obituary
Patricia Mary Jacobs passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2010. She was born October 17, 1937 to Margaret (McCarl) and Paul Flanigan in Detroit, MI. She was retired from Brunswick, enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, and caring for animals of every kind in God’s creation. Pat married Ken Jacobs on April 27, 1957 in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death in 2003. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Brian (Brenda) Jacobs of Hudsonville, Maria (Mark) Boes of Whitehall, Melissa (Jim Flannery) Jacobs of N. Muskegon, Kyle (Kate) Jacobs of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jean (Joe) Newmyer of Oceanside, CA; many nieces and nephews; and her cherished cats, “Miss Kitty” and “Missy Momma Kitty”. She was also preceded in death by her father Paul Flanigan, and her mother Margaret Arntz. In accordance with Pat’s wishes cremation has taken place. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to Mercy VNS, or the Muskegon County Humane Society.
