Patrick Louis Richards' Obituary
Mr. Patrick Louis Richards Sr., age 73, passed away Thursday Afternoon, September 11, 2008 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen House. Patrick was born May 9, 1935 to Freely and Angela (Burcon) Richards in Muskegon. He served his Country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On July 12, 1958 Patrick married the former Agnes Hladki in Muskegon, and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2006. Pat owned and operated Richards & Associates, and Engineering consultant firm for over 30 years. Earlier on in his career, Pat worked for Honeywell Corp. on the N.A.S.A. Gemini program. Patrick is survived by his 3 children, Patrick(Shawn)Richards Jr. of Naperville, IL Eileen Richards of Lisle, IL and Kathleen (Chris) Allen of Gobles, MI; daughter in law, Birgit Richards of Germany;5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Jan Nesbitt of Muskegon, Mary (Dennis) LaFaive of Norway, MI, and Kathleen Richards of Spring Lake; and several nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death earlier this year by his son, Daniel; a brother, Robert Richards; and his parents A Family Memorial Service is planned for a later date.
