Mrs. Patricia F. "Pat" Bolema's Obituary
Patricia F. Bolema, 88, was welcomed into her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on her birthday, June 10, 2022. Pat was born on June 10, 1934, in Muskegon to Peter and Fern (Shepherd) Bosch. She was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. On October 15, 1954, she married Larry Bolema and together they had three children. Pat was a secretary for many years, retiring from Comerica Bank. After retiring she enjoyed being a volunteer at both Hackley Hospital and at Muskegon Christian School. Pat was a faithful woman who enjoyed using her talents of singing and playing the piano to glorify God. She had many interests, but she was known for her sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, and diamond art skills. Over the years she made many clothes and costumes for people using her sewing machine that she received as a high school graduation gift in 1952. There was nothing she could not make or mend. Her favorite things to do were crafting projects that she could give as gifts. Pat delighted in her grandchildren. She loved their visits and phone calls more than anything and took great pride in their achievements. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Lisa (Donnie) Willea, and Rhonda (Tom Hasper) Bolema, her grandchildren, Adam (Nicole) Willea and Amber (Nick Zanto) Willea, her sister-in-law, Sharon Bolema, and her very dear friend, Emily Ruud. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Donna Bosch, and her son, Kevin Bolema. In accordance with Pat’s wishes, no formal service will take place. Contributions in her memory may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (www.lls.org) Arrangements have been entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
