PATSY R BRAUN's Obituary
Mrs. Patsy Ruth Braun, age 90, died in Spring Lake, MI, on Monday, February 11, 2019. She was thrilled with everyone who stopped to visit with her in her last days. Pat was born February 15, 1928 in Muskegon to Clarence and Sarah (Semeyne) Canning; and had been a life-long resident of the area. On November 1, 1954, Patsy married John M. “Jack” Braun and he preceded her in death on September 1, 2014. Patsy was a Mom, first to her children; and a Mother to so many others, who called her Mother “B”. Pat was a great cook, not only for her family but to the countless others she made meals for. Patsy cared for everybody, but to her Grandchildren, she was absolutely “The Best Grandma.” She also enjoyed camping in the motorhome, sewing, crocheting and formerly serving as a Brownie Troop leader for many years. She is survived by 4 daughters, Linda (Jerry) Kramer of Spring Lake, Valerie Grant of Grand Haven, Candy (Gary) Harris of Fruitport and Debbie (Bruce) Gillies of South Portland, ME; daughter-in-law, Laurie (Bubba) Braun-Snook of Norton Shores; 12 grandchildren, Mark (Kelly) Kramer, Aleschia (Patrick) Loughridge, Heidi (Tal) Holmes, Lesley Ann (Scott) Fisher, Scott (Stacey) Schliewe, Amy (Darren) Bradley, John Christopher (Renee) Braun and Jason (Theresa) Braun; Adam Harris, Brandon Harris, Jonathan Gillies, Cameron Gillies; 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Vernon Jensen of Ann Arbor, MI; sister-in-law, Jackie Cioe Braun of Fruitport. Patsy was also preceded in death by her beloved parents, sons, baby Clarence Braun and John Braun; sister, Bonnie Jensen, brother-in-law, Bill Braun; Aunt Ruth DeVries and Uncle Roy Semeyne. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Pat will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 16,2019, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100.
