Mrs Patsy J. Burkall's Obituary
Mrs. Patsy J. Burkall, age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at her home. Patsy was born October 7, 1933 to George A. and Katherine (Saxe) Fredericksen in Muskegon. After graduating from Muskegon High School Pat went to work for Teledyne Continental and then later for Sears, working for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991. She married Maurice “Bud” Karum and later Harold E. Burkall and they both preceded her in death. Pat was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. She was interested in her family’s genealogy. Most of all, Patsy lived for and loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and is SURVIVED by her children, Lance (Lou Ann) Karum and Nancy (Roger) Johnson, all of Norton Shores, Robert Karum and Sandra (David) Forester, all of Roosevelt Park; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Doris (Bob) Zielinski of Ravenna and Diane Poort of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen ‘Kay’ Harjer; and her brother, George Robert ‘Bob’ Fredericksen. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 937 W. Norton Ave. with Rev. John Rop officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (Noon until 1:00 PM). MEMORIALS may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Calvin Christian Reformed Church.
