Patsy Jean Schaner's Obituary
Patsy J. Schaner, age 82 passed away on September 5, 2014 at the Poppen Residence. She was born on October 29, 1931 to Percy and Yvonne (Bedard) Stratton in Nahma, MI. Later in life, she worked as a secretary at Clarke Floor Machines, Bennett Pump and Neway Anchorlok. Patsy loved to play bridge, was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to Silver Lake but most of all she looked forward to spending time with family and friends. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Nancy (Kevin Deyo) Schaner of Traverse City; Michael Schaner of Muskegon; Susan (Bruce) Maire of Norton Shores; daughter-in-law, Lynn Schaner; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Alex and Erin Schaner, and Joel and Andrew Maire; brother, William (Brenda) Stratton and sister, Jude (Ross) Totten. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Betty Eder and brother, Buck Stratton. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be held one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS may be made to Harbor Hospice or Christian Care. BURIAL will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muskegon.
