Patti Anne Cady's Obituary
Mrs. Patti Anne Cady, age 71, passed away in Muskegon on Monday, September 16, 2024 after a two year battle with Alzheimer’s. Patti was born in Muskegon on December 9, 1952 to Robert and Edith (Carey) Priest. She had been employed at Sanctuary at the Park and Wesco prior to her retirement. As a young lady, Patti dated Noel Cady before they went their separate ways. However, they reunited in 1995 and were married shortly after on June 15, 1996. Patti and Noel enjoyed 28 years together. They enjoyed traveling around the United States in their motorhome, and she especially enjoyed their yearly trip to Disney. Patti and Noel had a good marriage, and they made it a priority to take care of each other. Patti also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. She cherished her family and enjoyed getting together to play games and cards. Patti is survived by her loving husband, Noel C. Cady; children, Karl (Daniel) Smith-Schuba and Kimberly (Matthew) Hamm; step-children, Curtis (Christine) Cady, Dawne (Clark Gomery) Cady, Rachel (Jon Hart) Helgerson, Anthony Cady, and Debra (Nick) Dietz; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Holly) Priest and Thomas (Diane) Priest; sisters, Jeri Gannon and Mary Sherwood; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carey Lyn Smith; and son, Dean Cady. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorials in memory of Patti may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
