Mr. Paul Berghuis , Sr.'s Obituary
Paul Berghuis, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Paul was born on July 22, 1940 to Laurin and Frances (Graham) Berghuis in Muskegon. He attended Muskegon High School. On October 20, 1962 he married Leona (VanHassel) and together they were blessed with 53 years of marriage. Paul worked at Muskegon Piston Ring for 22 years. He then went into the sawmill business. Paul is survived by his wife Leona; children, Leann (Dan) McDonald, Paul Berghuis Jr; grandson, Mitchel (Denise) McDonald; great-granddaughter, Lillian McDonald; brothers, Laurin (Lois) and Samuel (Marylou) Berghuis; sisters, Ruth Warren and Lorraine (George) Haght; and brother-in-law, Larry Maitland. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leona Jean; sister, Dawn Maitland; and niece, Lizbeth Peake. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11am on Tuesday April 5th, 2016 at Wolf Lake United Methodist Church 370 Vista Terrace. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Wolf Lake United Methodist Church.
