Mr. Paul E. Bozik Sr.'s Obituary
Paul Edward Bozik Sr. was born on July 8, 1923 in Lyndora, PA. He was the eighth child of Gregory and Mary (Paserba) Bozik. God took Paul home on Monday February 27, 2017 at 7pm while family and friends prayed by his side. Paul was 93 years young.
On April 15, 1944 he married his dear wife, the former Idella Harkins and they were married nearly 70 years before God took her home on November 17, 2013. Paul enjoyed his 48 year “vacation” at Teledyne Continental Motors as the Quality Control Manager. He was a self-professed perfectionist. His love for golf started at an early age with his dog retrieving his ball as he practiced on a hill in PA. He was on the golf team all 4 years of high school as team captain. Paul served as President of National Management Association and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks. He was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Paul loved God and shared his Catholic faith with his family. He loved his dear wife, his family, many vacations to visit family, visiting with people and telling his stories. His favorite colors were red with black, or sometimes black with red. He was generous and kind hearted. He enjoyed his many dogs, the birds and squirrels that he faithfully fed, his Applebee friends, golf, snow blowing the neighborhood, building projects, singing, playing his harmonica and accordion, creative household fixes and apple pie. Paul will be deeply, deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Larry Bozik, Paul (Chris) Bozik Jr., Pat (Jim) Vendal, Deb Bringedahl (Don Cantu), and Steve (Brenda) Bozik; grandchildren, Danielle (Stan) Boykin, LeAnn (Dan) Szymanski, Rane’ (Roberto) Garcia, Nicole (Brian) Reed, Amber (Dean) Johnson, Jared Vendal, Megan (Chris) Dana, Adam (Nicole) Bringedahl, Greg (Emily) Bozik, Katie (Jeremy) Avery, Khrissy (Ryan) Hanks and Abby Bozik; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. His family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers, Melissa Carden, Rachel Villegas, Cheryl Villegas and Luanne Luick. Paul was preceded in death by his dear wife Idella; his parents; brothers, Stephen, Michael, Joseph and John; and sisters, Ann, Julia and Mary.
