Paul Grabinski's Obituary
Mr. Paul Grabinski, age 67, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon on June 26, 1956 to William and Julianna (Sladek) Grabinski and was number nine of their 12 children. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School and Muskegon Community College. Paul was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he served as usher for over 30 years. He was employed by Herman Miller for many years prior to his retirement. Paul was a member of the Environmental Team at Herman Miller and participated in many “work bees” to create what is now known as MERES (Muskegon Environmental Research and Education Society) or the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve. He enjoyed the large Grabinski family gatherings, hunting, and fishing. Paul was a member of the Muskegon Conservation Club for over 30 years and taught hunter safety, in addition to many years of organizing and leading the kids fishing derby at the club. He also participated in Sportsman for Youth Day with other members representing the Conservation Club, and he helped build the Muskegon Luge. Paul is survived by Lorraine Grabinski; their children, Bill (Michelle) Grabinski and Emily (Joe) Conklin; step-sons, Scott Stine and Joel Stine; grandchildren, Tyler Stine, Theodore Conklin, and baby Conklin due in August; siblings, Joseph Grabinski, William (Janet) Grabinski, Albert (Christina) Grabinski, Susan Rositch, Marilyn (Tom) Graham, Raymond (Susan) Grabinski, Tony (Pat) Grabinski, Julie (Bill) Steilen, and Margie (Tim) Bancuk; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael Grabinski and George Grabinski; and siblings-in-law, Rhonda Grabinski and Bob Rositch. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Geerling presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with the ROSARY prayed at 5:00 PM.
