Paul J. Hewitt's Obituary
Paul J. Hewitt, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at home. He was born on February 10, 1966 to Robert and Frances (Kandalec) Hewitt in Muskegon, MI. He earned his associates degree from Baker College where he studied business. Paul dedicated his life, running and operating his own business called Best Janitorial. Paul was a faithful servant and loved his Lord. He was known for his passion for cars, he loved spending hours working on them. Paul also enjoyed listening to Rock ‘n’ Roll and exploring new places during his many travels. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family. Paul was a man who knew no bad day, he was always cheerful and never left you without a smile. His big heart and tender-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his two sons, David Hewitt and Michael Hewitt; daughter, Becky Decker; granddaughter, Sophia Hewitt; four siblings, Susan Hewitt, Mary (Mike) Corfman, Barbara (Robert) Clark and Art (Amy) Hewitt; brother-in-law, Tony Leone; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gladys Leone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the church. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
