Paul E. James' Obituary
Paul E. James, age 68, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after courageously battling cancer. He was born on January 22, 1955, to Kenneth and Louise (Phelps) James in Muskegon, MI and remained a lifelong resident. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany. Paul earned his associate degree in engineering from Muskegon Community College. He then dedicated many years working for CWC Textron as an engineer. Paul had a passion for being involved and helping his fellow veterans the best he could. He was a man who appreciated classic television such as, MASH, Star Trek and Sci-fi movies. He also became an ordained minister in 2003 and took great pride in it. Above all things, Paul cherished the moments spent with his family and friends. Paul spent most of his time cracking jokes, bringing a smile to your face and filling a room with laughter. His easy-going, friendly and fun-loving personality will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his seven children, Paul (Beth Ann Miller) James, April (Thomas) Perry, Joseph James, Sarah (Dakota Greer) James, Angela (Robert Faught) James, Laura (Anthony) Brown and Aaron (Sara Carr) Stellini; mother of his children, Angela Ingersoll; 22 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; sister, Lesa James, brother, Gary James; 3 brothers; favorite pups, Jelly Bean and Peanut; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Military Rites will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2188 Remembrance Dr., Muskegon, MI 49442.
