Paul A. Page's Obituary
Mr. Paul Allen Page, 78, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, in Grand Rapids. He was born December 9, 1945, to Harvey A. and Mildred N. (Schuiteman) Page of Muskegon, Michigan and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1964. On April 2, 1966, Paul married Mary Ann Glasen. He worked as a machinist for Sealed Power (SpX, Dana, Mahle) for 41 years before retiring in 2007. Paul was an avid snowmobiler and that was reflected in membership in a local snowmobile club (Twisting Trails Sno-Braves) and the regional West Michigan Snowmobile Association. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing with friends and family. Paul was an active member of Discovering Christ Church (formerly Fifth Reformed Church) for nearly 40 years, serving as an Elder, Deacon, bus driver for VBS and Awana, kitchen helper and all around handyman for the church building and grounds. He lived out his faith in Jesus with his hands and feet, serving and helping others. Paul is survived by his daughter Shelly Page, son Jason (and Gina) Page, and daughter-in-law Amy (Scott) Page; grandchildren Matthew, Maddison (and Joseph) Mehelich, Haley, Bryce, and Nathan; great-grandchildren Eloise and Lucille; brother Daniel (Marcie) Page and sister-in-law Jean (David) Page. Paul was preceded in death by his oldest son, Scott Page in 2014, his wife Mary Ann in 2016, and his older brother David Page in 2021. Even as your cognitive abilities shifted, you knew people by name and greeted them with a happy smile. You will remain in our hearts and we are at peace knowing you are in the arms of Jesus and reunited with those who’ve gone before you. A service to celebrate and remember Paul’s life will be held Saturday, April 20, at 1:00 PM at Discovering Christ Church (2330 Holton Rd.) Visitation will be Friday, April 19, from 5-8 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery. Contributions in Paul's memory may be made to Discovering Christ Church.
