Paul Allen VanderMolen, age 80, went to his heavenly home on April 19, 2025. Paul was born to Russel and Harriet (Fisher) VanderMolen on June 3, 1944, in Muskegon, Michigan. In June of 1964, Paul married his wife Jeanne (Florence) Read Obituary
Paul and Jeanne are our neighbors. I would often see him more at Meijer than I would next door. always a smile on his face and kind words to be spoken. He was a gentle soul and a kind neighbor. Our family wishes peace and love to the family.
I remember most that Mr. VanderMolen loved Jesus and loved to shared His truths. He gave of himself and cared for people in real ways... not just words, but in ways that you felt deep in your heart. I remember enjoying the ice skating rink he built in the backyard when Lynda, Doug and my sisters lived just 3 houses away from one another. I also recognize Mr. VanderMolen (and Jeannie) as inviting our family to Muskegon Bethel Baptist Church. I will look forward to seeing you someday in Glory. For now, it is a comfort that he is with his dear Lord and Savior and saying hi to mom and dad and his other dear friends and giving them a hug.

Paul & Jeanne are lifelong friends! I met Paul at church when we were in Sunday School. Jeanne lived near me. She and I played in the sandbox together, preschoolers. Paul and Roger Wolffis were neighbors, and good "buddies." from the time they were little.
I introduced Paul to Jeanne when we were teenagers. Her mother would not let Jeanne date Paul unless it was a "double date." Roger called me and asked if I would like to go out with him, Jeanne & Paul. We double dated until we were allowed not too. We married 3 weeks apart and were in each other's weddings. 1964!
Paul adored Jeanne and did until the day he went home to Our Heavenly Father. She cared tenderly, lovingly cared for Paul as he was on his journey home.
Jeanne & Paul were the epitome of love and marriage as God intended it to be.
Because of Jesus, we are eternal friends!
Paul was the very first person to welcome me from Bethel Baptist Church. I was on a third date with my now husband. I was so nervous about meeting the people in Dale's church and Paul was so friendly and kind and put me at ease. I knew I was walking into a good situation. It has been my pleasure to know Paul for these last 20 years. So gentle and kind, so loving and genuine. I have always enjoyed and cherished listening to Paul's wisdom whenever he shared it. He loved Jesus and was an amazing example of Christ's love. He has touched so many lives and he will be greatly missed.
