Paul J. Vargo, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Paul J. “Skip” Vargo Sr., age 80, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on April 11, 1937 in Gladstone, MI to George and Lelia (Rogers) Vargo. Paul served his country in the Michigan National Guard, and worked at CWC Textron for 31 years before retiring. He loved going to his cabin, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul was an avid pool player, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren. He married the former Arthea Lang on June 3, 1961, and she preceded him in death on February 19, 1994. SURVIVORS include three children, Kim (Hilary) Huber, Larry Vargo, and Amy Dawes; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special friends, Tom Skiba, and Dalen Tobey. Paul was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Vargo II; brother, George Vargo; sisters, Barbara Lewis and Bonnie Campbell; and best friends, Jim Boles, Sr., and Nihl Brannam. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Berean Church (635 Seminole Rd.) with Rev. Rob Renberg officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8PM Monday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100, and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
