Mr. Paul Wilson's Obituary
Paul Wilson, age 83, of Twin Lake passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. He was born December 3, 1931 in Muskegon. In his younger days he road Harley Davidsons and was interested in racing by co-owning a racecar at Birchwood (Thunderbird) Raceway, Car 2 (Circle 2). Paul started work at age 17 for Shaw-Walker, where he retired after 41 years. He worked as a welder and he used those talents to restore and build many many things. When not helping someone or “inventing something” he went hunting and fishing with Mr. John Peters, family and friends. His survivors include his daughter, Paula Gundy; son, Ken Wilson; step daughter, Jeneen (Squeeky) Hislop; granddaughters, Katilynn Ortiz, Shelby Keriesel and Novalea Connon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sharon Dobberstein Wilson; good friend, Verna Kaule-Smith; six sisters and two brothers. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Paul will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave. (231-726-5210). VISITATION for Paul will be held an hour prior to services. Contributions in Paul’s name can be made to the North Muskegon VFW Post #8846 or to the family.
