Paul Robert Withun's Obituary
Paul Robert Withun passed away on May 26, 2023, peacefully in his home.
A native of Grand Haven, Paul joined his wife, Leslie Cassis-Withun of forty years in heaven.
A devoted family man, car enthusiast and lover of all things Grand Haven, Paul enjoyed his recent retirement spending time with his family and supporting the Grand Haven community including the Grand Haven Community Foundation and the Tri-Cities YMCA.
Paul treasured his time with his beloved grand-dog, Maverick, showing his ‘69 Chevelle with his son R.J., traveling with his sisters-in-laws, Stacey and Arianna, getting to know R.J.’s love of his life, Ana, and visiting his mother, Bonnabelle.
Paul had a long and storied career at Consumers Energy for over forty years enjoying his work and his colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s honor may be made to Grand Haven Community Foundation, the Tri-Cities YMCA and the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 in Grand Haven.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie E. Cassis-Withun, his father, Robert Withun, his mother-in-law, Dorothy Ellis Cassis, his aunt, M. Jean Ellis.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnabelle Withun, his son, R.J. Withun (Ana Villanueva), and his sister-in-law, Stacey E. Cassis (Dr. Arianna T. Morales).
A private graveside service will be held at Lake Forest Cemetery.
