Paul Allan Yonkers' Obituary
Paul Allan Yonkers, age 79, passed away peacefully with family at his side in Muskegon, MI, on Friday, July 22, 2022. Paul was born in Muskegon on June 16, 1943, to his parents Fredrick and Dessie (Hunter) Yonkers. Paul graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1962 and soon after served in the United States Army. Paul worked at American Coil Spring for 43 years, many of which were as a lead operator. On May 28, 1994, he married the former Linda Schuiteman, and they spent 28 wonderful years together. Paul was a very social person who enjoyed checking in on people to see how they were doing. He liked golfing, fishing, and hunting, especially his annual hunting trips in Hesperia. In recent years he loved taking the RV down to Jensen Beach, FL, with Linda for the winters. He loved his cats, Olivia and Peaches, who he referred to as his girls. One of his greatest joys was supporting his grandchildren at their events, whether it was a baseball game, a choir concert, or anything else. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda; son, Dennis (Terri) Yonkers; three grandchildren: Josh (Kenna) Yonkers, Morgan Yonkers, and Andy Yonkers; one great-grandchild, Weston Yonkers, with another on the way; five stepchildren: Debbie (Darryl) Yonkers, Bill (Darcie) Conley, Lorry Decker, Trisha Conley, and Scott (Jamie) Schuiteman; nine step-grandchildren: Mikayla, Mylie, Misti (Julius), Kora, Danielle, Zack, Jack, Tosha, and Bethany ;and many step-great-grandchildren; four siblings: Fred (Pat) Yonkers, Richard (Judy) Yonkers, Kim Yonkers, and Darryl (Debbie) Yonkers; Douglas’ significant other, Julie Jurkas; and the mother of his children, Joan Stockli. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Douglas Yonkers.
