Paul E. Rousell's Obituary
Mr. Paul E. Rousell, age 74, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on January 31, 1937 to Charles and Ruth Rousell, and resided in the area most of his life. Paul was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and member of Lakeside United Methodist Church, where he had served as trustee. Paul worked as a home builder for over 40 years, and was Past President of the Shoreline Builders Association. He also volunteered on the Norton Shores Fire Department Canteen 450 for many years. Paul also enjoyed photography and camping. On August 12, 1955 he married the former Elaine DeYoung, and together celebrated 56 years of marriage. SURVIVORS include his wife, Elaine; 3 children, Michael Rousell of Fruitport, Tracy (Daniel) Cederquist of Norton Shores, and Scott (Donna) Rousell of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Brett, Drew, Austin, Byran, and Cora; 4 step grandchildren, Josh, Kayla, Haley and Thomas; 2 brothers, Lewis (Nita) Rousell and Mark Rousell both of Norton Shores; and sister, Joann McDowell of Florida. Paul was preceded in death by his son, David Rousell. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 11AM Thursday at Lakeside United Methodist Church (2160 Crozier) with Rev. Steve Weinberger officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 10-11AM. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
