Pauline Griffin's Obituary
Mrs. Pauline Griffin, age 89 went to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday morning, May 21, 2010 following a long illness. She was born in Grant, MI on July 19, 1920 the fourth of five children to Ralph and Leona (Muma) Rull. Following graduation from Lowell High School, Pauline moved to Muskegon. During WWII she worked on the line at Standard Automotive and in later years worked as a cashier at Miracle Mart and then at Mr. Charles. She married Wayne A. Griffin in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1988. Pauline was a very active member of Crestwood United Methodist Church, serving on many committees, including: the Church Circle; Ladies Society; treasure of the Memorial Association and a volunteer at Mission for Area People. She is survived by: son, Wayne (Ann) Griffin of Monroe, MI and their children Danielle (Matt) McTaggert and Sean; daughter, Paula Walters of Muskegon and her children, John and Joanne (Tyrone) Conarty; daughter, Maloah (Rick) Elwell of Muskegon and their children Angela (Pete) Thompson and Anthony; brother-in-law, John Griffin; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 with Chaplain, Marilyn Rottschaser officiating. Visitation: the family will begin greeting friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions: American Diabetes Association or Harbor Hospice.
