Pauline E. "Polly" LaNore's Obituary
Pauline E. “Polly” LaNore, age 95, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. She was born October 8, 1925 in Bailey, MI to Ralph and Selma (Hendrickson) North. On July 19, 1943, she married Melvin H. LaNore in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2015. Pauline worked as a nurse’s aide for 12 years at the Northwest Ottawa Care Center prior to her retirement in 1986. She was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ. Pauline enjoyed wintering in Lakeland, FL for the past 30 years. She loved to sew and had made over 100 Christmas stockings over the years for friends and family. SURVIVORS include 6 children: Linda Williams of Lakeland, FL, Melvin (Judy) LaNore of Fruitport, Pamela (Dennis) White, Michael (Anna) LaNore, Sherri Dawson, and Cynthia (Brian) Peterman all of Muskegon; 17 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry; grandson, Frank Peterman; great-granddaughter, Tricia Nicole; son-in-law, Doran Williams; 2 sisters: Margaret Klecka and Hazel Burnett; and a brother, Clifford North. A MEMORIAL LUNCHEON will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE VISITATION with the family will be held one hour prior to the luncheon. MEMORIALS to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be appreciated.
