Mr. Paul R. Shoemaker, age 56, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 in Traverse City. Paul was born June 13, 1951 in Jenison, and lived most of his life in Muskegon before moving to Brimley 7 years ago. While in Muskegon he worked at K & L Industries. In Brimley he worked at the Bay Mills Casino and Resort. He loved baseball, hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary (Langler); 4 children, Jeremy Shoemaker of Kalamazoo, Kimberley (Brian) Tjapkes of Muskegon, Jason (Rich) Schultz, Melisa (Chris) Brown of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren; 1 sister, Ruth Shoemaker of Grand Haven; and his dog, Dido. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jacob and Virginia Shoemaker. According to Paul’s wishes there will be no services.
