Mrs. Pearl J. Glomb's Obituary
Mrs. Pearl June Glomb, age 93, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born June 12, 1921 in Muskegon to Jacob and Mamie (Lesser) Veltman. On April 1, 1939 she married Charles J. Glomb in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1997. Pearl enjoyed painting, playing cards, going to the casino, making crafts, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, gardening, and watching the birds. She also relished in her little sips of peach schnapps and whiskey slushes, but most of all, loved being with family and friends. SURVIVORS include 4 children: Charles E. “Skip” Glomb of Fruitport, Fred (Gerri) Glomb of Muskegon, Sandra Smith of Fruitport, Sharon (Ray) Genter of Whitehall; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Vi Berghuis of Muskegon, Alma Nummerdor of Scottville, Shirley (Jim Huffman) Paquin of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; and close friends: Tottie, Marijane, Shirley Thomas, and Riley Lyons and family. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Glomb; grandson, Randy Mrozinski; 2 daughters-in-law: Joyce and Sandy Glomb; son-in-law, Herbert Smith; 3 sisters: Lucille, Evelyn, and Arlene; and brother, Jay “Bud”. SERVICES for Mrs. Glomb will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 17, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Ben Vegh officiating.
