Pearl has always held a special place in my heart. When I was 3 years old, my mother was a passenger in a car accident that crippled her and killed 3 others. My mother was hospitalized for many months. I was shifted from place to place as family and church friends took turns taking me in and taking care of me. It was a very confusing and fearful time for me. The Welscotts were some of those who volunteered to take me in. I am 48 years old now, but I still remember how kind and caring Pearl was with me. She even sewed a little dog for me that I had for many years. My parents and I have always held the Welscotts in high esteem. I will never forget how good she was so many years ago to a frightened 3-year-old girl. May God rest her.##imported-begin##Kelly Chapman##imported-end##
