Pearl B. Stevenson's Obituary
Mrs. Pearl B. (Kulesza) Stevenson, age 87, passed away Sunday evening, May 23, 2004 at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was born October 18, 1916 in Muskegon to Walter and Alexandria (Dopkowski) Kulesza and lived in the area her entire life. On September 13, 1947, she married Robert L. Stevenson and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1991. Mrs. Stevenson had been employed as a secretary for the Norge Corp. She was an active member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and was also involved with the Right to Life of Michigan and the American Life League. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Barbara (Rick) DeBruyn of Norton Shores, Robert (Debbie) Stevenson of Kentucky, James (Brandii) Stevenson of New Mexico, Mark (Vicki) Stevenson of Grand Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer DeBruyn, Stephanie (Robert) Tangeman, Keri, Jessica, Adam, Nicholas, Jason, and Brian Stevenson; 2 sisters, Henrietta Kulesza of Muskegon and Dolores (Robert) Hopka of North Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Stevenson in 2003; her parents, Walter and Alexandria Kulesza; 3 brothers, Wesley, Alphonse, and Edward; 3 sisters, Florence, Dorothy, and Lillian. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2004 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. ENTOMBMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM this evening at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 PM this evening at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana or the American Cancer Society.
