Peggy Helen Billinghurst's Obituary
Peggy Helen Billinghurst, 91, of North Muskegon, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026. She was born March 12, 1935, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Randall and Anna (Newald) Seifers and was a graduate of Muskegon High School.
She married Colon C. “Coke” Billinghurst October 12, 1957 and he preceded her in death November 18, 2025. Their union was a lasting one, and they were married for nearly seventy years. Together they raised four children. While Peggy never worked outside of the home, she made a lifelong career of caring for her family and managing the household. She was very successful at both! Peggy was also a devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and its Ladies Guild for many years.
She is survived by her children, Greg (Nancy) Billinghurst of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Carolyn Billinghurst and Carol Bresler of Boston, MA, Brad (Becky) Billinghurst of Norton Shores, and Dave (Mardi) Billinghurst of Spring Lake. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Burgess of Muskegon.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Baker, her brother, Randy Seifers, sisters-in-law Anne Billinghurst and Sally Ann Williams-Archer, and brothers-in-law Charles Baker and Howard Burgess.
Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and compassion. She found great joy in entertaining family and friends, was an excellent cook, and dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and by all who have the privilege of knowing her.
A private family service will be held later, as she wished. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul’s Episcopal Church or charity of your choice in Peggy’s memory.
