Peggy Ann Dolislager's Obituary
Peggy Ann Dolislager, age 78, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was born November 18, 1946 in Muskegon to Nicklas and Sophia (Koolivitz) Wierema and was a lifelong resident of the area. Peggy married David W. Dolislager on December 18, 1965 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2020. Peggy worked at L.C Walker Arena and Firestone in her earlier years. She became an Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and began working for Muskegon General Hospital in 1991 followed by working for Mercy and Hackley Hospitals before her retirement from Trinity Health in 2015. Even after retirement, Peggy volunteered at Hackley Hospital as a Surgery Waiting Room Attendant. She loved attending the sporting events of her grandkids. She was a talented crafter, scrapbooker and enjoyed sewing. Peggy and David began collecting antiques many years ago and continued antiquing by filling their house with many valuable treasures. Peggy enjoyed cooking and baking and especially outings with “the girls” from work. Survivors include her children, Stephen (Karen) Dolislager, Kristin (Jeff) Gerrans; 2 grandsons, Alexander and Nicholas Dolislager; her nephew, Evan Johnson; and a special friends, Hope Mixter, and Mary and Rick Novak. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Dolislager; her parents; 1 brother, Nick Wierema, Jr; and 1 sister, Mary Jo Pletcher. A Memorial Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 5291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444.
