Peggy J. Dorgan's Obituary
Mrs. Peggy Jane Dorgan, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1948 to Arnold and Bonna “Bonnie” (Fite) Bachmann in Indianapolis, IN. On February 21, 1976, she married Robert “Bob” Dorgan in Rock Island, IL and he preceded her in death on April 14, 2012. Peggy worked for several years in healthcare information management before retiring in 2010. She enjoyed spending her time swimming at the Aquatic Center and playing cards with her group of ladies. Peggy also had an adventurer’s spirit and was known to get in her car with no real destination in mind and simply drive. She loved taking these impromptu road trips with her friends and always made sure to take the back roads to see what they could discover. Above all else, Peggy loved the time spent with her family and absolutely doted on her five grandchildren. Peggy is survived by her sons, Christopher Cook and Michael Dorgan; grandchildren, Mazarine Linderman, Madyson Dorgan, Griffin Dorgan, Lukas Cook and Jude Cook; sister, Carol (Ron Champine) Bachmann-Champine and children, Evan Bachmann-Champine and Jordan Bachmann-Champine; sister, Nancy (John) Meade and children, Elyssa Meade and Emily Meade; and niece and nephew, Mike Brady and Lisa Rochon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and parents. The Family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Angela Franklin and Denise Turcotte for their support of Peggy and her children and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, October 1 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 9:00 - 10:00AM. Memorial contributions in Peggy’s name may be directed to Haven Animal Hospital or Noah Project.
